Canine dentistry is not something that most people probably give a lot of thought to but there are several reasons why taking care of your pet’s teeth is very important.
1. Just as in humans, gum disease can wreak havoc on the organs when left untreated. The bacterial load that is present in a dog’s mouth is increased exponentially when disease is present and these bacteria can invade the bloodstream and cause not only problems but in some cases, complete organ failure.
2. Pets that do not receive dental care on a regular basis are at risk of losing their teeth in a very painful manner. The periodontal disease that will occur when proper hygiene is not followed will ensure the teeth will fallout due to rot around the gums.
